“Trying to be as nuanced in the gray key as possible, carefully pulling forms forward by subtle contrast, and pushing the forms back into a film of gray mist. Notice the three ellipses: the little bottom jar has a more open mouth, and the upper left jar has a more closed one. The further down, the more open the ellipse becomes.”
